In our new Pope鈥檚 first address, he issued a vision of our Catholic Church鈥檚 role - and by extension, each of us as Christ鈥檚 faithful servants - in seeking dialogue to promote peace and alleviate suffering:鈥淲e are disciples of Christ, Christ goes before us, and the world needs his light. Humanity needs him as the bridge to be reached by God and his love. Help us too, and then each other to build bridges, with dialogue, with encounter, uniting us all to be one people always in peace.. 鈥e want to be a synodal church, walking and always seeking peace, charity, closeness, especially to those who are suffering.
